Conversational BI

Conversational BI is business intelligence delivered through a natural language interface, where users ask questions in plain language and receive charts, tables, and explanations instead of navigating pre-built dashboards.

Classic BI tools answer the questions someone anticipated: a dashboard shows the metrics it was built to show, and anything else requires a new build request. Conversational BI inverts this–the interface is an open question box, and reports materialize on demand. The economic shift is real: instead of an analyst building fifty dashboard variants to cover possible questions, the system answers actual questions as they arise. Pre-built dashboards still earn their place for metrics watched daily; conversational BI covers everything else–the long tail that dashboard backlogs never reach.

How AI for Database applies it

AI for Database pairs both modes: ask ad-hoc questions conversationally, and pin what matters into dashboards that refresh themselves automatically.
