# How to Set Up Automated Reports for Your Team

## The Case for Automated Reports

Manual reporting is tedious and error-prone. Someone has to remember to run the queries, format the results, and distribute them on time. Automated reports eliminate this toil and ensure your team always has fresh data at the start of every day, week, or month.

## Creating a Report

In AI for Database, navigate to Reports and click "New Report." Ask your question in natural language: "Show me weekly revenue by product line for the past 4 weeks." The system generates the query and renders a table. You can add additional panels to the same report for a comprehensive view.

## Scheduling Delivery

Choose a schedule: daily at 8 AM, every Monday morning, or the first of each month. Select your delivery channel: Slack channel, email distribution list, or a webhook URL. The report is rendered as a formatted message with inline charts.

## Dynamic Filters

Reports support dynamic date ranges so that "last week" always refers to the most recent complete week. You can also add parameterized filters: one report template can serve multiple teams by swapping out the region or department parameter.

## Version History and Collaboration

Every report maintains a version history so you can see how the underlying query evolved over time. Team members can suggest edits, leave comments, and fork reports for their own use.
